Josh and Monica spent their Charleston wedding day getting ready separately at Palmetto Hotel and Liberty Place. Monica wanted just her family to help her get ready and did a first look with her dad. Josh met us over at Liberty Place to do an emotional first look with his bride. Then we jumped into some portraits before heading over to Cannon Green for the wedding ceremony and family pictures.
After the ceremony, Cannon Green’s catering team passed delicious appetizers for their guests. The tastings ranged from fried lobster bites, asian inspired kimchi pork, and fried cauliflower you could swear was chicken! Dinner followed with open stations including: Pasta and Italian charcuterie board, Southern mac and cheese with chicken, steak with rustic carrots and salad, and much more.
The couple focused on a floral citrus hybrid for their table decor, which in my opinion looked fabulous and so crisp! I loved how Intrigue Design and Events utilized citrus like oranges and limes to get the pops of color scattered on the dinner tables for their guests. I’m sure the smell was quite lovely as well.
Monicas florals were honestly some of the most beautiful combinations I’ve seen. They really played on the elegance of their day along with keeping the tropics of South Carolina’s floral variety included.
Overall Josh and Monica’s Cannon Green Wedding in Charleston, SC was such a beautiful day spent only with their closest friends and family. With only a total of 50 guests, no wedding party, and even in February, their day was as full and well celebrated just the same as any other big wedding. A little chilly, but nothing a heater can’t fix! See the last photo for a cool bonfire moment with the bride and groom!
