How Would I Describe my Charleston Wedding Photography Style
I’m totally detail obsessed. Looking for the beauty in everything around me, I focus on all of the special details of your attire, your floral arrangements, your jewelry, your family and friends, and so much more. My eye is editorial in style – meaning the images tend to look like something out of a magazine (this developed from being obsessed with records and creating cover images for musicians in my early days.) I want your images to be true-to life (not modifying any colors or making my images follow the current trend) but choose to embody the editing style to match how your day felt. I think to myself: “Was it cold?” then let’s make the photos feel more cool in tones. “Was their day full of color and vibrant energy?” Then why would I ever mute the colors or dull your images? – I want to create images that FEEL like how you remembered it.

Magnolia Plantation is one of my top venues that I love photographing. Their history, luscious gardens and 100+ year old oak tress create some of the most beautiful backdrop’s a photographer and her couples could wish for. They recently painted the bridge (formally bright red) to the above pictured black and white version which creates for a more neutral styled image (in my opinion) to tailor to any type of couple. Weather you plan to have your ceremony and/ or reception outdoors or indoors, this venue has both options available and I always have flashes on me so I’m ready for any type of environment — rain or shine.
