Liz and Jareds wedding day was one of the books. It’s honestly probably one of my favorite weddings I have had the pleasure of photographing of 2023. Why? The rain and the absolute loving kindness that these two love birds truly have for one another. The couple decided on private vows. Because it was raining, we nested under a large oak for coverage and even though it was raining over us, the wind picked up and made the bride look more stunning (and epic) than ever. If you’re reading this, future bride… please don’t worry so much about the rain. I totally get how it can feel to all your dreamy outdoor party plans, but it honestly made our photos so much more interesting, soft, and moody. It was romantic and just overall amazing.
Thank you to all the vendors that made this wedding day such a success:
The couple’s decision to exchange private vows added an intimate layer to the day, creating a sacred space for them to express their deepest feelings in the midst of nature’s own symphony. As the raindrops began to fall, turning their outdoor ceremony into a serenade of droplets, Liz and Jared sought refuge beneath the shelter of a majestic oak tree.
The rain, rather than dampening the spirits, became a muse for the day’s narrative. Under the tree’s expansive branches, the couple stood surrounded by the natural beauty of the rain-soaked landscape. The soft patter of rain on leaves and the gentle rustle of the wind lent an ethereal quality to the scene. In the midst of it all, Liz’s bridal gown billowed gracefully in the wind, transforming a potentially challenging weather moment into a breathtaking display of elegance and resilience.
The resulting images from this impromptu shelter became a testament to the unpredictable magic that can unfold on a wedding day. The rain, instead of being an obstacle, added an element of intrigue, softness, and moodiness to the photographs. Each image told a story of love that endured not only fair weather but also the unpredictable twists that life may bring.
For future brides reading this —don’t fret over the rain. The unexpected weather not only enhanced the visual narrative but also added a layer of romance to the overall atmosphere. The raindrops became nature’s confetti, celebrating the union of two souls madly in love.
Liz and Jared’s wedding day, with its rain-kissed ambiance and genuine affection, served as a reminder that love is resilient, capable of blooming even in the most unexpected circumstances. The images captured that day not only froze moments in time but also reflected the couple’s adventurous spirit, proving that a bit of rain can transform an ordinary day into an extraordinary celebration of love.
